Photojournalism Courses and Institutes: A Hand in Glove Relation

We all love memories. We all love to capture moments of pricelessness. We all love to flip through the pages of our memory album during the moments of leisure. Every fleeting moment is invaluable to us. But we simply cannot encourage in such a kind of stuff unless there is an indomitable urge and steady flows of passion are there. The perfect blend of these two qualities will surely help one to meet one’s target or to translate the dreams into reality. However, the best path to pursue your destiny is to study the course on photography. It is quite different from the rest of the “grains” of journalism and mass communication. A course which is designed in a unique manner to make individuals bag jobs easily in the job jungle!

 The Types and Institutes:

On a general plane, we classify ’photography’ into some distinct types via: candid, wedding, wild, food, fashion and many more. But institutes across the city and beyond have kept trained faculty members to train the candidates who enrol themselves in different “photojournalism courses”. The courses comprise the elements of “still photography”, ” video photography” and “contemporary photography”. The last one is pretty interesting as it teaches to keep a track on the changing trends of photography or photojournalism to give the best! It is worth mentioning there are fifty more institutes across the cities which offer aplenty courses on photo journalism, realising the growing demands of the people.

 The Key Components:

On the other hand the two important things which the course curriculum encapsulates are Theoretical knowledge and high definition skills. A word for each:

  • Theoretical Knowledge: After the enrolment, classes begin and the lessons are taught to the candidates, focusing on the smallest of the small things to them so that they can learn, apply aptly and become perfectionists to the core.
  • High Definition Skills: Photography or rather Photojournalism is such a mode of study where the entire focus is not only on the technical know-how but also on the aesthetic sense. The so called HD skills comprise these two elements apart from your sense of immense flexibility in dealing with the subject, keeping in mind the right amalgamation of time, place and action.

A Talk on Course Fees and Placements:

There is no doubt that ‘photography’, an integral part of journalism is a costly affair. The fees normally range between 15k to 25k, depending upon the course duration and standard of recognition. But for more reputed institutes within or outside the city can ask you to pay up to Rs 1 lac to study the course and give a boost to your career graph! On the other hand, these institutes offer good placements to the candidates on the successful completion of the course. Moreover, there are lots of opportunities if you choose the off shore i.e. to say if you prepare your own portfolio, set up your own studio with the latest equipments, earning bucks will never be a constraint for you!

Right from our childhood, we all imagine to become a part of the “lead stories”. Many people choose the scientific path, many more administration and others, but “Photojournalism” is such an opening for the young minds which will surely help them to rule the sky. The mind always looks for something different, something colourful, far from the madding reality. So no more wait, no more turning back, it is the time to step out and act!! ALL THE BEST!!
