I always have built the passion of photography but couldn’t sink with the terms and conditions under which photograph seems to be perfect and with this intention I came to this institute with a hope to be professional in this field and founded this kind support from my teachers and have polished me from a raw material to commercial one. This institution provides more and more outdoor shoots which really helps in interacting with the real world and this gives a better experience in facing the realities. After coming to this institution I do have learnt many a things but most importantly I was taught that being a photographer we should use the camera as a tool for exploration and the instrument of change… thus I can say we can rely on this institution for a secure career.
Images Redefine Photography Institute is the best for all the photography courses. I m doing diploma in photojournalism and I am very satisfied and happy to be part of this institution. Thanks Mam Sucheta Das, and lastly my suggestion that if there is a dress code for the students like T-shirt with logo its looks nice.
Every picture that you click is not a great photograph. For a good photo you need a great art vision. For that vision you need a great guide. I got that guide from IMAGES REDEFINED by Mam Sucheta Das. Whatever I am today and what I will be tomorrow in the field of photography is because of Mam Sucheta. At first I wanted to be a photojournalist but I didn’t know where to start. She gave that platform. She inspires me every day for more hard work, to learn more.
This institute is one of the best one for photojournalism course. I have learnt a lot from here from the courses and workshops. Sucheta Das is the best teacher, she taught me the beauty of street photography to news photography, how to find their own style and vision. Most importantly she inspires me. If you’re an aspiring photographer/photojournalist, particularly if you’re interested in street or any type I would say this is the best institution.

I want to thank Sucheta mam for teaching me photography. Images
Redefined photography institute teaches the students in practically
more than theory. May be theory is must, but to be pro photographer
you have to be practical and that’s the good thing, after completing your course you can say that yes I have learnt photography. I was crazy about photography, I shoot photo like amature but when I want to be professional Photographer I asked myself what I know about it. The
answer was I don’t know. I searched on net I got this name Image redefined and I have taken the admission. This institute changed my view to see the world.Thank you MAM.
So the time of my course has finally come to an end. From this course I had not only learnt the photography basic but also understood the story behind every picture. The excellence by which Mrs. Sucheta Das taught us was not only beneficiary but also helped me to get many past life experiences. Now I have a very different kind of vision towards photography and all its aspects. The definition of professionalism and practical experience opened my eyes. I came as a boy who was just an enthusiast of photography but I am leaving as a matured photographer who can project his stories through his pictures.

Before joining IMAGES REDEFINED INSTITUTE I had no idea about photography. I had interest in wildlife and landscape. For taking picture of any subject it is important to understand my camera this concept I didn’t get from any camera shop. When I came in this institute after discussing with Suchetadi not only about my camera my idea about photography has totally changed. For this reason I want to give many many thanks to IMAGES REDEFINED INSTITUTE’S Suchetadi because if didn’t come to her place I shouldn’t get the detail idea of the beautiful world of photography.
Thanks didi, many many thanks……
“Everyone behind the lens is not a photographer!!”
I believe… “If you are in love with taking snaps then you must be a photographer…. All you need, you can find in a fantastic way in institute like “Images Redefined.”
My learning experience here is adorable. I couldn’t be so sharp in my passion without you. My basic course is completed and I am willing to apply for the Advanced Photojournalism course. Only request to you is increase the number of local outings. Thank you so much Sucheta Mam for your love and support.
First time I am sharing my experience on photography. I had a heart’s desire to be a photographer and to build up a career with it. My dream comes true when I started my study at “Images Redefined”. It turns my life to a different direction. Our mentor Sucheta mam gives me the proper training and also teaches me that photography is not only done by the camera but by the person behind the camera. I am really thankful to “Images Redefined” and Sucheta mam for given me ample scope of stepping me into the world of photography.
There is nothing impossible in this world thats what images redefined has taught me since I became the member of this family. outdoor classes is the plus point of this institute, not only it has taught me how to see the world from different angles through my camera but also to be confident about what I can’t and what I can do. At last a heartily thanks to our mam Sucheta Das who is always there to guide us. She is one of the best faculties I have ever been student of Photojournalism.
I am feeling very proud to have joined Images Redefined course. A course that has given me an inside view of the camera, its techniques and how to use it more effectively with all the elements of visual Literacy. I think we all gained a lot of confidence during the day. Thanks to my institute (IMAGES REDEFINED) and thank our MAM (SUCHETA DAS).
What DSLR means, how to start it, how the camera works and what is the use of camera in photography world ….these all credit goes to our teacher SUCHETA DAS she taught me very thoroughly and professionally in an expertise manner. I am really thankful to IMAGES REDEFINED and to my teacher, for making photography my profession. Advance photo journalism course & internship opportunity in images redefined helps me to be a skilled photojournalist.
I’m very much grateful to become a part of Images Redefined and get Sucheta mam as my mentor. She teaches me to relate people through lens. I’m thankful that, I got a chance to work in Khabar 365 Din and The Telegraph, only because of the proper guidance of mam.
Image is the small word or a simple word to express the actual feelings of seeing… but it’s totally incomplete without a proper photography. Images Redefined institute and Sucheta maam gave me the proper technical & practical knowledge to make proper photography and also support me to go on my way… I’m positive that my passion will become my profession one day….
After my admission in this institute, the first thing I have come to know that photography is not only done by the camera but by the person behind the camera. Earlier it was my Passion only, but this Institute encourages me to take photography as my profession. Within this short period I have achieved three awards, these inspire me a lot.
“Photography is not about pressing the shutter but the Art of Seeing”- that’s the first thing that Sucheta Maam taught me. Since then, under Sucheta Maam’s watchful guidance I have been able to capture some good and rare moments. One of the better things about Images Redefined is that there are plenty of outdoor shoots to enhance my skill.
”Images Redefined institutes diploma course has given me everything from technical to practical photography knowledge and directed me on to right track. I am positive that I will continue on practicing my skills and in near future will become a professional Photographer.
……I know Sucheta since 1998…we r almost contemporary. The first Asian woman photographer who bagged the coveted World Press Award and two time winners of prestigious National Fellowship (NFI). Stubborn in nature I find Sucheta as a hard working lady who always try to make a space in MAN’s world. Her new venture will definitely give young upcoming photographers in India a platform to persue their career as photojournalist … and I would rather like to say it as ‘Sucheta Redefined’!

Describing Sucheta Das is difficult. Describing her is easy too. She is simply UNSTOPPABLE. I know Sucheta since 2000. She packs in her the somewhat incompatible attributes of a good photographer and a good human being. She has won the World Press Photo Contest and some other awards from other parts of the globe. Now that she has launched a photography institute “Images Redefined”, I am confident her efforts would give birth to some good photographers for West Bengal and the country as a whole. At the same time I must tell the students of this institute that you are going to be the face of this institute, so take good care of it. Always remember, everyone can hold a camera, it is the eye behind the lens that makes all the difference. Photography appears to be an easy activity; in fact, it is a varied and ambiguous process in which the only common denominator among its practitioners is their instrument. None else that Henri Cartier-Bresson said that.
Sucheta Das, whom I know from Reuters and where we two were working together for some years. Since then I have been watching Sucheta’s work very closely. Sucheta’s work has always impressed me. Sucheta who have won many international and national awards tells the true story of her hard work and dedication towards the field of photography. Images Redefined which is run under the supervision of Sucheta is also doing a wonderful job by giving training of photography to young people of Kolkata and teaching them the best of photography skills. My recent interaction with students of Images Redefined was a wonderful experience as the students are nice souls who need proper guidance and which Sucheta Das is giving them. I wish Images Redefined a very bright future ahead.
It is exiting to know that our external faculty for photo-journalism, Ms.Sucheta Das has initiated a photography institute, ‘Images Redefined’ in Kolkata, which specializes in photo-journalism and news Photography courses and training programmes.
I am sure that the students will certainly get the best advantage of learning photo-journalism and news photography under the guidance of the ‘ace photo-journalist’ and international award winning photographer, Sucheta. She is not only a good photographer but also a powerful mentor.
I must congratulate Ms.Sucheta Das for her new aspiring venture and wish her photography institute, ‘Images Redefined’ a great success. I would certainly refer the budding photographers interested in photo-journalism and news photography to ‘Images Redefined’.
I know Sucheta Das from the time she was working with Reuters as a young photojournalist. I have followed her career with interest, appreciating the excellent quality of her photos, not just for Reuters but also for Associated Press later. When she struck out as a freelancer, I was in no doubt that she will leave her footprints in world photography emphatically. Her subsequent awards and world acclaim speak for themselves. ‘Images Redefined’ is her way of giving back to the industry by training and nourishing new talents in photography. I wish her well in this endeavor.
I became aware of Images Redefined when it was still an idea conceived by my friend and colleague, Sucheta Das, whom I met in Amsterdam when we both went to receive our World Press Photo Awards. She has been a great and hard working photographer for a long time and coming up with the idea to run an institution to educate the people of India in the area of photography was always going to be a milestone of an achievement. ‘Images Redefined’ becomes a selfless way for this celebrated photographer to impart her skills and knowledge to young photographers in India going forward. I have seen many images of India and I know that India has talented photographers, but what ‘Images Redefined’ is doing is to ensure that the pool of talent in India does not run dry. When I heard about Images Redefined I knew that India’s future photographers will have a home from which their skills will be polished. They would be taught about the ethics of remaining truthful in ones reporting even when it is hard to do and remain so.
… Good Luck, Sucheta
